European Commission accepts commitments in e-books case

The European Commission has accepted legally binding commitments from Apple and four international publishers to resolve an antitrust investigation into the sale of e-books.  However, the fifth publisher involved, Penguin, is still in negotiations with the Commission.  The commitments will have a significant impact on the sale of e-books in the European Union.
